Dog English Setter Points Rabbit in Creek, Large 1880s Antique Print

$ 36.93

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1880s French illustrated journal.
It depicts an English setter pointing a rabbit who is hiding in the brush of a stram. Beautiful dog!
The caption reads: S'il avait des ailes
which roughly translates to:  If it had wings
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a French caption below.
PLEASE NOTE: In my photo you will see a soft fold through the middle. This slight wave in the paper is almost imperceptible in real life, and will flatten easily for framing. The lighting in the photo exaggerates it.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
